Gunmen killed one Christian priest church of Pakistan Peshawar and wounded another as they were driving home from Sunday Mass in Pakistan’s northwestern city of Peshawar, police said.
Rev. William Siraj, was shot multiple times and died instantly in the ambush in the Gulbahar neighborhood, while revving. Naeem Patrick was treated briefly in hospital for a gunshot wound to the hand, officer Iqbal Shah said. A third priest in the car was unharmed.
No one immediately claimed responsibility for the attack, the latest on Pakistan’s tiny Christian minority that has been targeted several times by militants in recent years. Militant violence has been a broader increased since the Pakistani Taliban ended a ceasefire with the government last month.
Rev. William Siraj Church of Pakistan has been martyred near Ring Road in Peshawar on Sunday. He was fatally shot by two terrorists on a motorbike. He was on his way back after preaching. The funeral service of Rev. Samuel Gill will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022, @ 10am at Elim Pentecostal Church, Peshawar.
according to an eyewitness, two terrorists came to them and opened fire. William Siraj was martyred on the spot. The government of Pakistan has taken action against this incident. FIR is launched in the police station.
